Equipments You Will Need for Well Drilling
1. Water Detector
Before starting your drilling, you need to know where to drill. If you drilling blind, you may waste a lot time and get nothing. So knowing where to drill is very important.1. Water Detector
The water detector can tell you where the water is and the difficulty to drill to the water source.

2. Drilling Rig
Pneumatic drill rig has the advantages of safety and explosion-proof, large torque, high speed, small size, light weight, simple structure, convenient disassembly and assembly. The rotation of the main machine of the pneumatic drill rig has the function of forward and reverse rotation, which can easily drill the rig and push out the drilling tool; the independent motor is adopted, the feed force is large, and the failure rate is low; the rotation speed and the feed speed can be adjusted by controlling the air intake.
3. Air Compressor
In the well drilling industry, another basic machine is the screw air compressor. Within the compressor, there is a set of male and female rotors. These two rotors compress the air, which is then sended through the outlet turnel to the air loop system in the rig to power the DTH Hammer. In well drilling, especially in rocky area, an air compressor is essentional. Compared with traditional mud pumps, it has twice the stone conquering ability of mud pumps.
This picture shows our S85T Screw air compressor. It is two-stage compression, offering a better working effiency. A 228Kw Yuchai Engine allows it to produce 22 bar (320Psi) pressure, 24m³/min (857CFM) flow. So it is widely used in 200m well drilling.4. Air Hose

6. DTH Hammer
A down-the-hole drill, usually called DTH by most professionals, is basically a jackhammer screwed on the bottom of a drill string. Powered by the air compressor, the fast hammer action breaks hard rock into small cuttings and dust that are evacuated by air. DTH Hammers are divided into three types, low pressure(≤1.0MPa), medium pressure(≤1.6MPa), and high pressure(1.6-2.2MPa). You can choose according you air compressor Rated Pressure.
The Pircture shows our 4 inch high pressure DTH hammer. It has the frenquency of 60Hz, It can be used with 105-150mm DTH bit.7. DTH Bit
Down-the-hole (DTH) hammer bits are used with Down-the-hole(DTH) hammers for drilling holes through a wide range of rocks types. In conjunction with DTH hammers, drill hammer bits are designed with a splined drive for rotating the bit in the ground. Drill bits are available in different sizes and different styles so they can drill a wide range of hole sizes.8. Mud Pump
If the air compressor determines the working-effiency of drilling, then the mud pump determines the maximum depth of drilling. It helps to circulate the drilling fluid through the drill bit and back up to the surface. The mud pump also provides pressure to keep the drill bit from becoming plugged.9. Casing Pipe in Clay Area
The casing pipe is normally used in first clay area drilling, also can be used when there is underground cave. To prevent the soil layer from collapsing, resulting in insufficient pressure, which will affect the subsequent drilling. The sleeves need to be tightly connected to prevent air leakage and collapse.10. Drag Bit
This kind of bit uses the action of the stem rotation to drag the bit over the surface of the formation. With softer formations, like sand, clay, or soft rock, which is found throughout the Country, a drag bit loosens the material sufficiently for the drilling process to proceed. In well drilling, it is widely used for hole opening and first clay area drilling.11. Tricone Bit
The tricone bit is firstly invented in the 1930s. Tricone bits are used for medium and hard rock formations. These bits are designed with smaller teeth, which are more closely arranged together. Mud is pumped down the drill string and out through the tricone bit to keep the bit clean from cuttings and to move these cuttings back to the surface. By using with mud pump it can drill to the depth where DTH drilling tools can’t.
